Traditional Yoga was developed through an individual relationship between the teacher and the student.Todays' Yoga is taught in larger group classes or on a one to one basis. HomeYoga is based on 3 or 4 students at a similar level of experience, learning in a bespoke 1 or 1.5 hour class in my fully equipped Home Yoga studio.

Group yoga classes are a very recent invention, and a wonderful invention at that: they are a good way to discover yoga, and they have allowed yoga to be brought into many people’s lives all over the world. They are, however, very limited when it comes to adapting the teaching to each individual student’s needs. Traditionally, Yoga was only ever taught on a one to one basis, and for good reason.

In these classes you will come to learn and practice in my home studio, where I will focus on all aspects of Iyengar Yoga practice in weekly sessions. This includes practice using the Wall Ropes and the Wall Bars. This equipment provides traction for the body as well as support for the poses we do. This can open up a whole new world of practice and is used also to support those who are coming to practice with injuries and issues that cannot be accommodated well in a larger class.
