These sessions are 1and 1.5 hours this gives plenty of time for all students to receive individualised tuition during the class.



Traditional Yoga was developed through an individual relationship between the teacher and the student. Todays Yoga is taught in larger group classes or on a one to one basis. At the Studio I teach mostly smaller group classes and one to ones.

Group yoga classes are a very recent invention, and a wonderful invention at that: they are a good way to discover yoga, and they have allowed yoga to be brought into many people’s lives all over the world.

In Iyengar Yoga we follow the Pune Cycle which rotates asana practice according to the calendar month. restorative yoga and breath work or Pranayama is taught the last week of the month. The Wall Ropes are introduced and used in some classes. This equipment provides traction for the body as well as support for the poses we do. This can open up a whole new world of practice and is used also to support those who are coming to practice with injuries and issues that cannot be accommodated well in a larger class.
